Product Description

Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) is a highly versatile composite material, known for its easy-to-form characteristics. It is composed of a matrix of high-quality polyester resin, reinforced with glass fibers. SMC is primarily utilized in compression molding processes, offering significant flexibility and durability. The manufacturing process involves dispersing long chains of chopped glass or carbon fibers into a bath of polyester resin, vinyl ester resin, or epoxy resin. The result is a flexible, leather-like sheet that can be easily cut, weighed, and placed into a mold to cure into the desired component configuration.

Our SMC material selection involves high-quality polyester resin and glass fiber.The manufacturing process includes cutting glass fiber filaments into strips, spraying them onto a resin-coated film, and processing them through an automatic packaging and folding machine. The final product undergoes thickening at room temperature to achieve the required molding viscosity, resulting in a high-quality, ready-to-use SMC sheet.
